2020 not going as planned

Update March 2021, Good news! We succeeded in getting that racist misogynist orange clown out of the White House.

Not so great news. Our POTUS is moderately progressive and considered to be of the blob era. Still, the Vice made POTUS in contrast knows how to get to work and hire an administration who will not be vacant because they resigned or were fired. So, 4/5th good news.

Also, there were holes in our local grocery store in 2020 every now and then, they replaced some products with others they could get and we always had fresh veggies, fruits, cheese, and meats. The holes were flour, eggs, crackers, cookies, soy milk, tomatoes and bread, especially sourdough bread. With other bread to eat, so thankfully, no worries. American grocers still kick ass. And thank you farmers and all the people harvesting the bounty of food we spoiled people are used to.

The last Tuesday in April, weeks and days in 2020 merge into blurry self-isolation that feels both longer and shorter at the same time.

Wanted to add a new post here to make a record because I'm struggling to imagine what the world is going to be like after we re-emerge.

Will, we get testing of the coronavirus mapped out enough to prevent a second wave?

Will our grocer's back-up of food, especially perishables like fresh fruit and veggies, bread, meat, milk and eggs make it to the store or will our pantries be stocked with canned food and powdered mixes? ...until that too runs out?

What will be the long term effects on the economy and politics? Can America survive 4 more years with this terrible POTUS?

Or?

Will we see a shift for good to save the planet that never would have happened without this time of reflection on how fragile human life is?
