Now that I finally have the entire Un-Un-Cat posted. My plan is to put it behind the Medium pay wall gradually. And at the same time I’ll do what I have seen a lot of other writers do, post with a link to my blog for folks who do not have a Medium subscription.
Because of the way blogs are written I think I’ll start at the ending and post to the beginning of the story on my writing blog, here on blogspot.
And not to be confusing, but I was unsure of Substack for a bit, quite a few people complaining about it, and it’s also not fun how I can read the social conversation but can’t comment on many of the posts I am able to read there. Free subscriptions for unpublished authors and starving artists don’t get to join the comments I guess?
But, when I compare the quality of the popular social notes on Substack, I get it. So, I’ve decided to post on Substack with author explanations. Footnotes and headers, the really, boring stuff, I mean who reads the intro to books?
Oh well. This is catharsis. I can’t not do it. I tried to quit writing this story and move on and it wouldn’t let go of me, … for years. So I’m posting it, to be free of it. On Substack ’Not A Cat’ I will start with the first episode, with an intro and possibly links to where I got some of the more complex topics in the story. Sort the data, for the future. :)
This story is science fiction prototyping, for a utopian dream of a better world, and even the political and economic ideas are from podcasts, or reading court case notes, like official .gov transcripts from Alan Greenspan. Yikes that banker speaks in “parceltongue” as far as I can tell, very slithery.
